The Umphang Trek is somewhat much more remote than all the treks organized in the Chiangmai or Chiangrai areas. The valley is not much developed, being accessible only by one winding mountain road. The walking distances during the trek are longer and the trails and paths or more difficult to walk, especially during the wet season. However there are no hard long climbs or steep downhills, so it is suitable for people with less fitness training.
We have run this trek for families with children, when children were experienced to hike!

An expedition for the real adventurer in this area surrounded by scenic jungle and mountains, Karen villages and elephants, and the charm of the remote Mae Klong river.
